A modest three-storey XIX century building was extended by adding a new part. It is explicitly modern but it alludes to the old tenant house. There are similar proportions and horizontal divisions
of the facade. The fourth floor was decidedly moved back and now there
is a large terrace overlooking the street. Vertical axes are emphasized
by the size of the windows and stripes
of wall faced with fair limestone.
It is contrasted with an asymmetric entrance covered with dark stone.
The entrance portal together with wide stairway is an appropriate setting
for a state institution. An internal patio counterbalances rhythmic, representative elevations. Fully glazed with atmospheric lighting facilitates both business
and private meetings.
